On the morning of March 26th, Xinhui District held a strategic investment signing ceremony for Huajin Metal Industry Park. Xinhui District's state-owned enterprise, Xinhui Port and Shipping Company, signed an investment intention letter with Huajin Trading Market Company. Xiamen Xiangyu Group, a state-owned enterprise in Xiamen, signed a cooperation agreement with Huajin International Holdings to further deepen state-owned enterprise reform, promote the coordinated development of state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, and promote the coordinated development of "port industry city". Liu Bing, Deputy Secretary and District Chief of Xinhui District Committee, and Liu Hongbin, Standing Committee Member and Deputy District Chief of Xinhui District Committee, attended the ceremony.
With the care and support of the district government, cooperative units, and financial institutions, Huajin Port successfully obtained the "Port Operation License" for three berths on January 26 this year, entering a new stage of comprehensive operation. From the existing customer orders, intended demands, and loading and unloading efficiency, it is expected to achieve loading and unloading of about 12 million tons of goods this year. We are confident in building Huajin Port into a large comprehensive terminal with influence in Xinhui District and even the Xijiang River Basin! In recent years, Xinhui District has established the port economy as a major strategy for the economic and social development of the entire district, accelerated the development of port logistics industry, comprehensively developed Yinzhou Lake, and launched port industrial projects with large transportation volume and throughput. As the largest public dock with single berths and rear yard area on the coastline of Xinhui District, Huajin Port has fully completed and put into use three 30000 ton berths in the first phase of the project. After completion, the monthly throughput has repeatedly reached new highs. Last year, Huajin Port achieved a loading and unloading capacity of about 2.2 million tons, with over 400 ships operating in the port, and a monthly average growth rate of over 10% in loading and unloading volume. In the first quarter of this year, Huajin Port achieved a loading and unloading volume of about 1.2 million tons, and it is expected that the loading and unloading volume this month will reach a new high in single month operation.
